The Flora of Mission of Hope – Jarabacoa
Hi! I really like being in nature. Not hiking long distances so much, but more so walking around and staring at flowers and trees and funny looking insects. I don’t know a lot about plants, but I was fascinated by the plants of the Dominican Republic (and especially on the Mission of Hope campus in Jarabacoa). So, I decided do some research, identify as many as I could, and share them with you!
Disclaimer: I greatly relied on the plant identifying app “Picture This” while researching these plants. So if anything is incorrect, my apologies, and feel free to correct me in the comments! I had lots of fun doing this, so enjoy!

Did you get all the fresh things??
I’m drooling over the avacados, mangoes, and coconuts! Did you try the bitter orange? Are the figs edible?
Miss you bunches. So glad you’re loving it there!
